Possibly the brake lining material separated from the metal backing? |

Good call. I fitted new genuine pads and discs not so long ago but I'll definitely check it out. Thanks |

SOLVED!! I took your advice, stripped out the RH calliper and pads, there was nothing wrong with them so I cleaned it all up and lightly greased the backplate points that contact the calliper housing and on the rear of the pads and reassembled. It's perfect now! I can only assume that when the brakes were applied, one or both pads were sticking and then releasing, causing the clacking sound.

Definitely and it makes up for the circa £800 quid to fix the front windscreen washers! Dealer says it needs a new fuse box... Haven't had time to really dig into it myself but I cant accept that kind of costs to get water up on the screen!! Where to LR think we get our money from... |
