Watching the game, I'm surprised that Dirk Kuyt stayed on the pitch.
His ball control was dreadful for the whole game. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

You may recall I bagged £101 on the opening game of the tournament. Well way back then, I placed the following bets:

Argentina to win the world cup: £5 at 7/2 = £22.50

Germany to win the world cup: £3 at 7/1 = £24

Had a phone call this morning at 5am. It was an German colleague of mine from the past.
He didn't make much sense.
Can't blame him either. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Well here it is! The Final!

Germany aka £24 v Argentina aka £22.50 Laughing

Based on performances thus far, I would say Germany should win but you have to watch the Argies and they won't be caught out like Brazil. If Germany give Messi too much room to work with, he will punish them.

Here's to a good match Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Indeed. 2 World Wars and a Falklands War but we are defo sh*t compared to them at football Laughing

End to end stuff at the moment. On another note, I'm watching it on BBC 1 which has better coverage (no adverts for a start) and better pundits IMO than ITV. Plus no Andy Townsend Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Well it's all over now and I think the World Cup in the main has been very good.
Best game to me was USA v Belgium.
Unfortunately, Dracula tainted affairs somewhat by saying he fell onto his opponents shoulder then later actually admitted biting him. Now he's off to Spain, will his next victim be Crispyiano Ronaldo?
I suspect his ban will still have teething problems.

Then there was the Tom Daley of Holland who, throughout his career, has taken more dives than Jacques Cousteau and also admitted it.

The daftest comment come from Sepp Blatter "From north to west to east and south ... and we shall wonder if one day our game is played on other planets and then one day we won't have the World Cup, we will have interplanetary contests."
I can see it now; The Moonies v Uranus Rolling with laughter

Quote "Wonder what planet he's on"

Answer: Planet Blatter - in the constellation of "Corruption" - other planets in that constellation are, "Deception", "Lie", "Racist" and "Denial".

For further data on the prevailing environments on this constellation one should refer to this site's expert on the galaxy, "The Doctor", preferable before he himself is incarcerated by "Homeland Security" which I understand from a recent MI6 internal memo placed Blatter at the centre of its operations' FIFA "Forced Interdiction of Foreign Aliens".
