New suitcase/holdall needed

My old suitcase has seen better days and we have 2 holidays on the cards this year. A family holiday to Scotland for 1 week in June and then my big holiday to the USA in August.

So a new suitcase/holdall is on the cards but I don't want OTT prices and yet I don't want cheap tacky rubbish.

Someone from work said they bought one of these but the name puts me off Laughing : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jeep-Large-Wheeled...ggage+bags

Any recommendations folks? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Depends how often you want to use it, good luggage costs money, 5 year guarantee my behind ! I've yet to find anything cheap that will last 40 or 50 flights ( which is a year for me) . The wheels and telescopic handles always fail first. For the USA make sure whatever you buy either has TSA locks fitted or if it's a soft bag, you buy TSA locks for it, US security will take a hammer and chisel to any case or locks checked in that can not be opened by their pass keys Big Cry , and the airline does not class it as baggage damage. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Intriguing...

I will need to visit a shop rather than go online I think, so that I at least have an idea of the build quality. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
