Hull is in the county of East Yorkshire, Humberside doesn't exist as a county, even a Lancastrian knows that |

The name may have been abolished in 1996 but Humberside is still in existance and still called Humberside as far as many official departments and businesses are concerned. Audi A4 Avant 2.0 tdi 05 Liquid Blue

I still think of Hull as Yorkshire, Widnes and Warrington as Lancashire and the Wirral as Cheshire. Can't be doing with these new-fangled made-up counties. Do you know anyone from Runcorn or Widnes who thinks they are living in Halton? (except for those who are in the borough of that name, of course).
