Sure I remember Mav saying he used copper grease on the back of the pads?

Does anybody know if your insurer has to be informed if you fit drilled/vented discs? I know all insurers are different with their small print and what is/isn't to be notified of regarding modifications. Obviously they don't come off the line with these fitted as standard so in the event of a claim, would the insurance assessor have a problem with them and possibly invalidate the policy?

Technically if you do not fit the genuine discs or pads I suppose that is a modification, same with tyres, if it comes with Continentals do you class the fitting of Good Years a modification. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Where does it stop. Changing your bulbs even if they are legal ones, putting tints on the rear windows etc etc. |

Precisely, most of the budget ones want you to call them, and charge you £25 or more for the pleasure. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I havent told my insurance as they are standard size discs. When I the claim for my door, the engineer didn't even comment on the 20" wheels or anything that I have done.

No Pads for the Handbrake, they are Shoes, they shouldn't really wear unless you pull the handbrake before you come to a stop, checking the adjusters and pivots is critical as they tend to seize up. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Considering mine handbrake shoes are nearly 7 years old, they were hardly worn, so I didn't bother hanging them.
