Perhaps have the lights on, aimed at a wall in the dark then with the tailgate up, get a few fatties to sit on the boot floor to load the rear suspension and see if the lights move? Or use the same method and drive the front or rear of the car up onto a couple of bricks and then observe the light position when you drive off of them? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

The self levellers don't actually work until the car is moving, so loading up the rear on the drive won't help.

Mine have always twitched left/right, when starting, especially notice it when i go in to my Tesco underground car park, the white walls and darker light level always put the auto lights on and the twitch left or right, maybe as if they are centring themselves for the adaptive side of things

We are *supposed* to check that self levellers are working during the MOT test (where fitted) so how we would do that (I never have) with the vehicle stationary, I don't know. I had adaptive lights on a Focus once and they used to scan left and right on start up too. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
