Anyone had their 2.2 td4 re-mapped?

Hi everyone! I just wondered of anyone has had their freelander 2 remapped? I'm just wondering what kind of effect it has on the average mpg? Mines doing about 20mpg at the moment. I'd like to increase it a little if I can. Any info would be great' Smile thanks all Smile x[/url]

Yep had the hippo done by Gary at Alive tuning. Very very happy, much more drivable. And better fuel economy, as is driven enthusiastically.

Blimey the only time I can get 20mpg is with 1700KG of caravan on the back thundering along an autoroute at 80+
Driving solo hard I get 29mpg with my auto and 42 if I drive like a nun.
I would like to try a remap as they say I should get another 5-8 mpg by improved turbo control.
So who's had it done on an auto

I saw 26mpg over the weekend off road, usually averages 37 throughoit the week and that's hitting slightly more than I should on the mways.
20 is terrible, definitely get it checked Thumbs Up

Do u think there is something wrong with mine then? Mechanically? It sounds like I'm the only one with this terrible mpg. I was thinking of selling it because its too expensive to run now. But I love it and hav only had it since November. Help me please Sad

I have averaged 24mpg for the past 3 1/2 years of automatic FL2 ownership

20 is a little low, are you hammering it around town racing boy racers or something, red lining every gear is a good way of lowering the mpg

Ps there was no HSE LUX in 2008 either Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Depends what you are doing with the car, when I borrow the car I notice my wife averages. 23 but then her average runs are 4 miles round trips if you are doing stop start short local runs in traffic you will get low mpg 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
