i had a 13pin for my trailer (not twin electrics at the moment) and at the time the company that fitted it said they had to use the proper Land Rover unit as others wouldn't possibly work properly.

You could try running an earth bonding strap from the earth lead you have to another, very obvious, earth point on the vehicle. Just in case the *exsiting* earth point is not very good. |

Hi yes they have moved the earth point to the one used for the rear lights on the car but still keeps failing. The next thing they are going to do is replace the wiring loom, they have also replaced a module on the trailer loom but that's made no difference!! To reset it when it fails now I have to unplug the module on the loom and plug it back in. The only time I can test it is when I tow my caravan so that woun't be for a few weeks yet. I have plugged a trailer board in and run around with it on the back seat but it didn't fail then. |

There is a possibility that either your Alko ATC is incompatible with the Freelander's CAN Bus or/and/maybe you have LED rear lighting on your caravan that is also incompatible and a known problem. |

landrover electric kit is the only way to go with a Landrover ! I wouldn't put any other electrical module anywhere near a Landy can system . Trouble with a capital T |
