MY13, made 10000km since Nov 12 without any problem so far (not even the slightest trace of any). And it was an awesome feeling during some winterdays here in Switzerland when driving home in the night knowing to come home no matter what. |

we should introduce you to Oldgeezer - you wouldnt be buying a FL2 after a conversation with him, although he would probably give you a good deal on his trusty FL2... |

You will always find a lot of issues on a forum as this is where people go to find out answers.

The best test is how many people have owned more than 1 FL2 and/or will replace it with another.

Just to put this in context. We bought my wife a VW Polo as VW have always had a reputation for excellent build quality and reliability. 27k, new engine fitted as it sounded like my freely, and the VW was a petrol. Any car from any manufacturer can have faults, they're complex machines nowadays, electronics have a big part to play, and they sometimes go wrong. Before I got my FL2, I had an FL1, supposedly an inherent fault laden car which never worked and was constantly breaking down. Did 50k in it, had to have one injector cleaned the whole time. As has been said previously on this and every other motoring forum, you never hear the good stories, just the bad. I think in the scheme of things, the number of FL2's that are out there compared to the number of faults is huge. So as with anything you buy there's always a risk but luck comes into it. Buy one and enjoy it. If it does go wrong, then you're just unlucky, and you've always got this forum to help you out. |

I don't know when I will be replacing mine, but you can be sure it will be for another FL2!! I won't consider any 4x4. Maybe an evoque, but the Mrs doesnt like them. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a FR2 broken down at the side of the road. Awesome! |
