If it's a buzzing/rattling it sounds like it could be a loose screw/nut/fastner, so this will be a nightmare to find but it you can hear it inside the car but not outside I would start there, climb in the back and touch various nuts |

My money is still on a loose baffle inside the exhaust - the fact that it is more noticeable on start-up convinces me even more as parts inside the exhaust expand and therefore vibrate less when hot. This was a fairly common complaint many years ago during my apprenticeship in a main dealership and the 'accepted' fix was to bash the granny out of the silencers with a lump hammer! That usually tightened things up inside and stopped the buzz. |
