If it's a buzzing/rattling it sounds like it could be a loose screw/nut/fastner, so this will be a nightmare to find but it you can hear it inside the car but not outside I would start there, climb in the back and touch various nuts panels etc this may or may not find the culprit and if not you can start on the outside of the car, this should give you hours of harmless fun over the coming weekends or you can just turn the radio up.

My money is still on a loose baffle inside the exhaust - the fact that it is more noticeable on start-up convinces me even more as parts inside the exhaust expand and therefore vibrate less when hot. This was a fairly common complaint many years ago during my apprenticeship in a main dealership and the 'accepted' fix was to bash the granny out of the silencers with a lump hammer! That usually tightened things up inside and stopped the buzz. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
