Somewhere (wasn't it here?) the development path of the LR models was posted. I think there was a longer version of the evoque shown. Couldn't it simply be that one?

Interesting why Daily Mail would report on a motoring issue the dedicated car press haven't picked up on?

The Mail article is based on an article in Autocar, as is the 16-models graphic. There's a link to Autocar's item in the Mail article. I've also come across references to this elsewhere. |

That would cause problems for a lot of FL2 ownwers who are registered MSA radio operators on car rallies as most of us use mag mounts for our radio aerials and the roof also acts as the ground plane. Could use the old CB gutter mounts but they can damage the paintwork. Suppose we will just have to wait and see what develops. Bill T. Life Honorary Member of Wallasey Motor Club. I wouldn't believe any rubbish printed in the press or auto press, there was an article a few weeks ago about 16 new models before 2020 & one of those was a larger Evoque which I guess could also share the same full floorpan as a new Freelander?

Without giving too much away the replacement Freelander will have a new underbody built on a new line separate from current build. For those of you who have visited Halewood you will probably remember that the current FL2 & the Evoke are built through the same line although very different underbodies. |
