No. The callipers are wound on with a motor. Each calliper has an electrical cable to it and no mechanical connection.

The bulb wattage determines the current draw. A short circuit before the bulb on the feed side would stop the bulb illuminating. A short on the earth side would make no difference.

Same problem. Adjusting the radio volume has no effect. Don't know wether it is adjustable but agree it is far too loud especially when reversing into garage.

I think the actuators are fitted to the rear of the rear callipers, there is no handbrake cable to be seen, just a small wiring harness and the usual hydraulic connection to the calliper.

Had a similar problem on my 07 GS. Turned out to be a leak on the screen, which was removed and resealed. Fortunately it was under warranty at the time.
