Sounds like the brake shoes got stuck. The noise was when they let go. I would whip the disc/drums off, have a look and clean it all up. John

What no drums, have Landrover redesigned the rear brakes alltogether???

I think the actuators are fitted to the rear of the rear callipers, there is no handbrake cable to be seen, just a small wiring harness and the usual hydraulic connection to the calliper. |
