| I know some cars (VW i think) had a problem that if you pushed the button on the remote to many times while the car wasn't in sight it wouldn't work anymore. Might be something like that. |

Read somewhere that by placing the keyfob/stsrt button this way it helped the FL2 to do so well at the NCAP rating. (by removing the normal starter from the steering wheel complex.

Ok. Well my guess would be that it has something to do with the fuel pump then. It might me that it takes it a bit longer to build up pressure there.
What you might try next time:
