Yes, the airbag light is often (usually even?) a loose connection.
btw never fiddle with the connectors with the ignition on. Danger of setting the whole thing off.

The car should recognise Genuine LandRover units. Others may need to be programmed.
The Genuine set I bought from Dan at Duckworths came without a necessary washer, which the fitter supplied.
