A LR L359 at the Black Sea's shore...

It isn't something special, but it's mine! Smile
Below a few of our incursions in the Dobrogea's wilderness.

Wow, I didn't think your A roads were quite that bad! Even the roads in Lybia are better.

State of the art factory in the last shot.

Nice Alex, you are lucky to have open spaces to explore without the risk of trespass, or are you not allowed? I cannot find the Dobrogea region on Google maps, can you pinpoint it for me to a nearest town.

Yeah, it's an abandoned rare metals extraction factory...
But this zone has a particular charm for me, as it reminds me of The Zone in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series games.
Same scenario, same atmosphere, same colors, etc. And the weather when the rally raid took place was the same as in the game too...
It's like living the game, but without guns, shooting and radiation of course.
Beautifull! Very Happy

A small part is natural reservation and you can't enter there by car without a special authorization.

Certainly from your photos it looks like the F2 was well able to keep up with some much more serious 4x4's. on those tracks How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

In our group of people and cars, it's the only Land Rover...
And yes, it keeps up with "the pack" quite well.
If the things became to extreme, I can always find an alternative route.
Enough to say that they never have to wait for me... Wink Thumbs Up

Have you got a problem with your Website Alex, my IE says "Unable to return you to axlezone.ro." although I haven't been there yet Confused also IE says "a problem with this webpage caused IE to close and re-open the tab"
Anyone else in the UK have a problem opening Alex's site or is it my end. Question

Nope. Though can't be said it's a true website...
It's since forever in construction. I can't find the time to make it real... Laughing
Maybe because the pictures are linked through the forum software, who knows...

Alex - do you ever let your dear lady drive the FL2?

Very pleased to hear that you kept those "pack rats" at bay. Lead from the front that's the LR modus operandi. You should get a "consultancy job" with the Romanian Tourist board - specialist subject: off road expeditions for Johnny Foreigner.

Yes, many times.

It's a coincidence that in the pictures looks like my car is in front. These are the pictures where we and our car appear.
The lead car, almost every time, is a Land Cruiser. It's the car of a friend that organize those expeditions.
