Possible Off Road Day - Gauging Interest

Would anybody be interested in this?

http://www.landcraft4x4.co.uk/lres/events.html

Not sure how to go about organising a day out but the MD David Mitchell is a personal friend which should help things along.
Dates available this year are 10th July,14th August, 11th September, 9th October, 13th November, 11th December.

10th July is probably not on but if Mr. Pinks could help me to organise a poll? to judge interest perhaps we can take it further.

All vehicles must be taxed and insured and the routes are suitable for all types of Land Rover.

I just gave this its own thread Smile

Since there is a limited number of spaces to give options in a sign-up, I had to split in to groups of months, so if you prefer one month over the others in the group, post a reply to state which month but still select the sign up to have your name listed Thumbs Up

Please contact Bill Turner by PM for details or post a question Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Right up for this, I was actually hoping to do it at some point this year.

Done the self-drive at Eastnor LRE and loved it.

Obviously depends on which month. Being we'll all be in FL2, the route can be geared towards our cars and accommodate our ground clearance.

I have expressed interest in the poll, obviously depends on date as I would make a mini trip of it together with some fly fishing......JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

OK thats 5 of us interested but we need 10 to have the exclusive use of nearly 6000 acres of North Wales forests.

I am seeing the Landrover Experience MD next week at the press launch of the Range Rover Evoke so should have some more info soon.

Right, I have seen the LRE MD and if we do not get 10 names those who have expressed an interest can join another group of 90's/ 110's or what ever is on for the day we choose.
However both the MD and myself are commited for the next 4 weeks to the Evoke Press Launch in North Wales and Liverpool so will post again as soon as possible after this with more details.
If you want a short ride in an Evoke and you are in the Liverpool area go to The Albert Dock complex near to the Echo Arena and I can tell you you will be in for a surprise. Thre will be a small fee but all monies are being donated to the NSPCC.

OK Guys as you say it is looking interesting and to answer your question re numbers I am not sure but will enquire.

Mini Eggs I think it is going to have to be late in the year as although I can speeak to the Landcraft MD in the next 4 weeks it will be impossible to have a meaningful discussion because of the Evoke press launch which we are both involved in, and as this is a 12 million pound operation it has to take presidence untill the end of August.

Be reassured that if I get any further info you guys will be the first to know.

A maximum of 20 is the latest info from one of the other guys on the Evoke launch but as previously posted will try to contact my man this week end.
It is also judging by the poll, that as I have posted previously that it will have to be at the latter end of the year.

As before any further info you will be the next to know.

Hi to all who have expressed an interest in this outing.

Today I have a very crackly mobile phone call from my MD pal and can answer some of your queries.
1-As we have more than 10 vehicles we will have exclusive use of the site and are not limited to the dates shown on the website, in fact he is going to suggest some dates to us and I suppose as in politics the majority vote will win.
2-Payments will have to be made individualy in advance, more info to follow.
3- I am going to email him to find out the duration of the day and the start time, but am fairly certain the start will be in the Bala area.
4-Please refer to the website for rules apertaining to vehicles.
6- Finaly if you are still interested can you please PM me with your name, email adress and contact telephone number/s which I will forward to Landcraft who will send you details of payment methods and I will also email you back with my contact details.

Hope you are all happy with this but please contact me with any questions.

Cheers,

Great news

I take it, that it will be non-damaging, and the route geared towards the freelanders' capability and ground clearance.

PM sent as requested.
