looks like your all going to need to wash out the radiators too, especially the lower part behind the bumper as that water was really mucky and will have clogged up the fins

I have had this problem on FL2.1 and it caused the car to think it was overheating according to LR.

Bill

Many thanks for an enjoyable day, Meg and I had a great time. We covered approx 22 to 23 miles from entering the woods in the morning to leaving in the afternoon.

Still to clean the Landrover after my boys night out tomorrow, just to prove Freelanders can get just a dirty as Discos!!!

Not being a tecno freak still trying to work out how to down load the photos.

Once again many thanks.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

Hi, back from a week salmon fishing on the Ettrick Water, a trib of the Tweed, no fish caught but thats not unusual, new excuse, water was too warm....
Have emailed my pics to Past Master for him to upload to Flikr but have to say that Russells video makes pics redundant. Many thanks to him and esp partner for her giggles!! My car seems to feature quite a bit, being RED it does stand out but I also like Russells Blue colour, better than my previous blue. Good to see not many drug dealers were on the day.....
You might spot my pic of Russell's car at a strange angle on a muddy climb, he fishtailed blaming being in Grass/Snow rather than Mud n Ruts.
One downhill was esp tough, even in first, Mud n Ruts and Hill descent the car slid down sections, rock to rock and I was not fully in control
The 'quarry' wall at the end of the day is hard to appreciate, even on the video. A short steep climb but then you could not see the track at the top given the angle so were blind as you negotiated the quite narrow turnaround.
Off to a jet wash tomorrow but will have to hand wash the door shuts which are brown where I passed through the water. I also think I collected some bramble scratches on the matt black door pillars, tricky as you cannot polish out. God knows what the underneath looks like, I bottomed out quite a few times and slid along the central reservation between ruts on a few of the tracks.
A great day and very good value. I will be up for another if Bill organises

Thanks JT. Your car featured a lot because you were behind us, and I could get out and film you coming next! The bit where you get n/s rear lift was because we'd just done exactly the same.

I often take stills too using a Cannon IXUS 100is, but mostly my iPhone - on which I can edit them and include on my blog of the day when I'm sailing. It's a great system, as soon as I've blogged, my friends and relatives receive and email or Tweet to take them to the page. I do this every day when I'm sailing. Obviously I also make short HD videos and upload to YouTube. See www.yachtzephyr.wordpress.com

The HD video camera is a Sanyo Xacti CA100, although I think it's now known as a Panasonic HX WA10 http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/camcorders/panas...-50004603/

Thanks Russell, I have shared the video on my FB so friends can see how nerdish I am! Is that a Black Country accent behind the giggles?? JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.

I've put JT's photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/22148796@N08/sets/72157627958157855/

I'll leave them there for a few weeks but take copies if you want them as they'll get deleted in due course.

How did you clean it (given NP's warning about high pressure hoses?) I have got worst off bodywork/ wheelarches using a jet wash but still needs a proper wash, good hand car wash close by for £15 is my normal choice....
