Chipped wheel lacquer

I noticed a small chip in the lacquer on one of my GS alloys. There is no damage to the wheel just this small chip. Is there anything I can touch it up with to stop corrosion? Andyfr

You are up early! I've seen me use any old metallic silver paint at a push. no doubt Halfords on the Longman flogs something more appropriate.

I like to have a quick look at the forum before breakfast!

I'll maybe pop over to Halfords later although I still sting from the £40 parking charge I got from parking there.

I wondered if there was something which colour matched the wheels but maybe I'm being too particular. Andyfr

If its just chipped the lacquer and the paint is ok you can just buy the clear coat on its own in touch up form. I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.

Unfortunately it's right down to the metal. I had a look on eBay and have bought one of these: http://tinyurl.com/5sxc3q8 I will report back when I have used it. Andyfr

Had a go with the wheel paint and it's a very good match.
