1/4 tank from Lookers Chelmsford - Pushed them hard on price so I am sure the paltry diesel amount was to restore some of the profit margin. Did get a nice hamper of Wilkinsons Jams & Chutneys though.... What do I know....I'm only an Essex girl

I had to pay for a tank full on collection, although the salesman assured me it would have £20 quids worth in it before collection !. I asked for them to fill as it was around the time of the fuel demo in 2008 and most forcourts had run out ! so they filled it but I had to pay £ 78.00. I felt done because if it had already had £20.00 of fuel in it why did it take another £78.00 in 2008 !!
I never understand why when your paying £26k+ they cant just fill it ! does leave a sour taste

Dealer Guy Salmon Sheffield, confirmed my SD4 HSE available for collection on Wednesday 25 May - one day earlier than originally promised - full tank confirmed!

Not a freelander but a Disco2 brought 2nd hand from Stratstones Dealers in Birmingham.

1/2 tank but only because I asked for it. Wasnt offered and it was the only good thing to come out of the entire deal. Customer service apparently doesnt exist in their dictionary.

It would be interesting to see how much fuel dealers are supplying with the 13 plate delivered cars.

When I got my HSE in July 2012, the fuel gage was empty but the dealer drove the car around to a petrol station and gave me a full tank.

Last 2 62 plate cars I collected had full tanks of fuel but they came direct from Land Rover not a Dealer.

YEP, I go along with sentiments here - we picked up two brand new XS's on Saturday and both only had a 1/4 tank in. Gone are the days when you got a full tank!

stratstones are and land rover should remove them as a supplier. When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

I bought a brand new Bedford Rascal van in 1987. That came with a full tank. Mind you, when it was empty you couldn't get a tenners worth in it. Honest!

On a similar subject, I was changing my fuel filter today on my FL so I went to the garage with a 5 litre fuel can to get diesel to pre-fill the filter. I managed to get eight quids worth in there. When I started driving, I could have filled that same can for 20p. I'm not joking, just old! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
