False Alarm

The alarm went off in my 2010 HSE, for no apparent reason whilst sitting in the driveway. Is this a problem on its way or just a one off ?

Thanks

Interior motion sensors can be set off by an insect. Sensors can also pick up a pressure change, i.e. a window slightly open.
Not sure if it applies to FL but dash air vents pointing to interior sensor can also in windy conditions set off alarm. All FL2's (3) Gone

It could be the battery backup sounder, a small gold coloured box in the engine compartment at the back. Mine failed about 2 yrs ago and symptoms were random alarms for a few weeks before. It is alnown isssue and was replaced by LR Assist. MY13 FL2 SD4 HSE Ipanema Sand, 19" LR sparkle alloys , spoiler, rear camera , LR det. Towbar

Maybe its lonely and wants some company. The Kia Sorento of mine that I am PX for a Freelander on Monday does the same thing.
