Had mine now for 9 months. Alarm went off once within the first week for no apparent reason while sat on the drive. good as gold since! |

Interior motion sensors can be set off by an insect. Sensors can also pick up a pressure change, i.e. a window slightly open.

It could be the battery backup sounder, a small gold coloured box in the engine compartment at the back. Mine failed about 2 yrs ago and symptoms were random alarms for a few weeks before. It is alnown isssue and was replaced by LR Assist. MY13 FL2 SD4 HSE Ipanema Sand, 19" LR sparkle alloys , spoiler, rear camera , LR det. Towbar

Maybe its lonely and wants some company. The Kia Sorento of mine that I am PX for a Freelander on Monday does the same thing.
