Australia 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black
2 Stroke Motor oil as an Additive

I just spent the last 3 hours reading the technical forum on the use of 2SO.
I'm thinking I might try it, but still a bit nervous.

Is anyone here actively using 2SO and if so, what brands seems to work best here.

Cheers
D

Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Lago Grey

I tried it for a while last year but couldn't be bothered keeping it up. I didn't notice any difference and it was a pain filling the little bottle with 2 stroke and emptying it into the tank. I always managed to get some on me. I tried a couple of different brands but can't remember specifics sorry. Mike

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Ipanema Sand

Hi Dazza

Yes I use it and have done so for about 8 months or so now. I use the 2SO for Ryobi chainsaws, brush cutters etc, as I can can get it fairly cheap. It meet all specs to FC.

I have to say, after using it for so long I don't notice the change now, but certainly I noticed the engine was quieter and seemed to run a bit better at the start.

I think it will be a long term thing, you wont see the benefit for some years, and if it really does work well, you may never see the benefit other than your fuel pump or injectors don't pack up...... Thumbs Up  MY2014 SD4 XS
