Whats luxury about a big blob of yellow on the ass end - looks very ugly and spoils any (carefully chosen) paintwork colour, so the smaller it is the better. Just glad that we have reflective white registration plates and normal sized ones at that 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

"Number Plates" have an interesting history, especially when governments decided to change them. Just one example was when the Austrian government decided to change the then existing black with white lettering to the reverse i.e. white with black lettering.

I've always felt a bit sorry for those foreigners with their tatty official plates that are always the wrong size for the car . But it felt really weird driving around the US with no plate on the front at all. |

Tatty what foreign plates are you talking about Our official plates certainly couldnt be more suitable in colour and size for any vehicle and are the same size for front and rear although I am not a great follower of the blue EU panel. All plates are mounted in a black plastic holder and not directly on the paintwork

Admittedly Swiss plates are pretty cool. And I like the Austrian ones with that aristocratic coat of arms. But as for the Belgians....
