Sounds about right. I had a .410 at 7, a good Pidgeon gun, then went to a 12 bore with a .410 adaptor at 8, full 12 bore a few months later.

Well today went well Very Happy

First time ever with a shotgun, using my dads new browning 525 sporter, it felt nice, but wether it actually fit I don't know

Went to Parklodge Shooting ground out towards snaith, goole it has a fair few different type and has high mast which fire of clays in different directions depending on what buttons you press from your selected spot, but each spot got different senerios, left right, high low, away and towards

Found I managed to get a few slower ones in various directions but higher faster ones were missed mainly

Really enjoyed it, so will be going for the licence ASAP and then find a gun as soon as I can, if the licences is approved

I must have been half decent as my dad and brother joked they would get lessons from me Smile All those nights playing COD on the Wii must have been worth while Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think I did ok for my first ever attempt, but hope to get more in time, if not I'm enjoying a sport with my dad, it's not like he could join me in a weekend snowboarding etc

My Brothers brattonsound cabinet was £112 for a 3 gun one from a place the police told him about, so I'll look there when I come to buy. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Sounds a good price. I've seen cheaper, but they have sharp edges and the locks are rubbish.

There is a fair weight in them, the Gun shop put it in the car for me, but I got suspicious and looked at it before setting off. It had a dink in it and it was the side they put it resting on, makes you suspicious why they were so helpful, anyay, they had to exchange it.

Not sure about this... but they used to have a good selection of guns to try (you dont have to buy) and the layouts are reasonable compared to North Wales anyhow.

Been out again this morning as my brother got his license and bought his new gun this morning a Browning Citori, so met him on his way back at Parklodge, had his father in law with him who had a Beretta Silver pigeon 28" game shotgun

Using my brothers I got 4 for 4 on the first section we did Mr. Green well pleased, then went on to various others having a go on both guns, to be honest I quite like the beretta's lightness

Had a little comp on our final 6 carts each, slowish high flyer off the towers L-R I got 4 out 6, brother got 1 and a little chip Laughing But his FIL got a good 5 all on the 1st barrel

So I came 2nd not bad up against somebody who has shot for years and my bros who had done this more than me Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Looks nice Thumbs Up after quick google search Laughing

Not tried any apart from the three I have fired, Browning 525 and Citori White lightning and the beretta silver pig

Going to see what I can try out for fit, lower budget gun I think, my local shop has a Lanber sporting deluxe 2nd hand which gets really good reviews, might get one and then learn and save for the decent gun over the next year or so, I'll then have 2 guns, one for best and one for dragging through the dirt if I ever get permission on land

Had to take my son to Diggerland today for a party, all I could think of was my brother had gone shooting and I could have gone if I wasn't at this damed diggerplace, practiced digging out trenches though so I know the controls when I hire a digger for the garden Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
