United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Saw this this morning...a few years ago a freind of mine bought ASDA smart price water and I said it wouldn't surprise me if it was tap water.

I also said it was Tia's grandmother's boyfriend, son, brother whatever he is. Maybe I should be a detective Confused Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

There are draconian regulations about "Mineral Water". It has to be bottled within a certain distance of the spring (except in France, of course). As far as I know you can label anything as "Spring water", including water from the tap. A study a few years ago pointed out that filtered water is actually less healthy than tap water. The chlorine prevents bacterial growth, but if you filter out the chlorine then bacterial growth is likely to occur if the water is kept for any length of time. Most domestic filters do little more than take out the chlorine. The nasty stuff (heavy metals, nitrates) is much harder to remove.

one of the big brands has a factory in Switzerland where they strip out ( De-mineralise or De-ionise) natural occuring minerals in tap water, they then blend back " balanced" amounts of iron, copper, phosphates etc etc, work that one out. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
