Well just had to travel 700 miles & yes FR2 didn't miss a beat ! things must be looking up
Had to do an overnight stay, I think getting to old to do 700 mile in a day !

Any how picked a national chain & see below what I found, went to complain in the evening but there was a drunk in reception plastered and didnt want any hassle. went to complain on leaving & a notice on the counter says I'm away from my desk ! yep I bet most of you have guessed who it is ! but what do you think ?
justified complaint ?

yeah I did wonder about environmental health. I don't know whether I can contact them on a Saturday !

Which also leads me to another question, travelling down the M40 the Zafira in front starts throwing out all their Mc donalds Rubbish though the window ! cartons the lots ! caught on my in-car camera ! who do i send the video too ?
I hate these peasants that chuck bag a full of rubbish out the window whilst in motion !

And members on here cannot understand why some of us have a van, you don't get this in your caravan Whistle

If you look at the plaque in the Travelodge reception they cannot even get the address of the Head Office correct, so don't expect a clean room. It actually states the address as
Sleepy Hollow
Aylesbury Road
Oxon
Thame.

They think the town is the county and vice versa

I reported a couple of lads to the local council, I assume they will have their own high ways agency each council? I would start there,

In my case they dumped it out side the office, I went out and handed the McD paper bag back to them with a few choice words , and they thought it was funny driving off throwing out again, took a couple of days for council to call me back Thumbs Up

I guess you didn't check the feedback through TripAdvisor beforehand. It might be worth adding your comments to others, most of whom had a similar experience to you.
You can't believe everything you read but it is a good guide.

I did use premier inns a lot but were getting very expensive ! normally find that all the places I need to stay are around 70-129 per night. I dont seem to have much sucess at getting a £29.00 room as advertized on TV. In fact never done it yet !

The Room in question wasnt a cheap deal special iether !

I must admit i have always said at least my caravan is spotless, may be i should of towed it with me and used the extra fuel.

I must admit this was one of the dirtiest rooms i have ever come across and no doubt you would agree those cobwebs are not something thats built up in one night ! and to have Cockroaches running about was taking the buiscuit !

I didnt have a chance to use trip advisor iether as I just got to the point where I was exhausted and still had 120 miles left to go so decided to throw the towel in for the night and needed a bed.

Caravans are best for a good nights sleep and clean Thumbs Up

A friend of mine told me of his approach to getting a cheap rate room.

1. Check website first - if cheap online buy it there
2. Ring hotel directly and ask why they never have cheap rooms available online
3. Tell them you will book in with their nearest competitor. You need to know who it s before you ring

He mostly gets to point 2 on several occassion point 3 but normally gets a cheaper price room.

Must be worth. Try.... Laughing 2002 Honda VFR800
