In addition to the flaps front and rear, I added 3M clear bra paint protection to the entire front and rear of the vehicle. I've done this to all of my vehicles, and it does a fantastic job at protecting from scratches/rock chips.

Fitment of the front flaps is somewhat of a pain, and takes time/tools to complete. However, I do believe they prevent muck splatter. The fronts do get snow and ice packed in them. On very cold days I don't suggest giving them a kick to remove the buildup.

When it warms up around here I plan on replacing the mud flap screws (provided by LR) with stainless steel as the OEM screws started rusting straight away.

Yes indeed, the quality of some of the fittings leaves a lot to be desired. I painted the screws on mine with anti rust paint

If you tow a caravan rears are esential, because of the height and short rear overhang the wheels throw muck all up the front of the van.

Rolling with laughter My full car makeover cost me just under £1000 Very Happy and happy to take the stick for a few more years while we keep it Thumbs Up .

Many on here have spent £35k + on a new car to get 'that nose and wheels', I didn't have an option as I don't have that kind of money to spend.

Be careful CG, I certainly don't, but 'they' might take the criticism personally.

In which case, why bother spending £1k on cosmetics?
