I have had a word with LR Customer Services who are going to look in to it for me, whatever that means?

I'm a bit puzzled why, if it's under warranty (and therefore they can backcharge it to LR) any dealer wouldn't want to do all the warranty work / replacements it could.

Can anyone who knows the ins and outs of this enlighten me? Brian

Apparently Customer Svcs have spoken to Dealer who have advised them that I have scuffed the wheel, but they have very considerately repaired the wheel FOC for me anyway, as a gesture of goodwill.
Quite how I would have scuffed a wheel on an inside edge ie around the wheel valve hole is beyond me.

Dealer are very reluctant to do anything to it and have been putting it off for over 10 months. Firstly it was booked in for last April when they said they'd repair it, then they said Land Rover had said they can't repair it, they have to change it and they would order the wheel in for me. At least 5 chase up phone calls later they finally decided they would have it in and this morning announced they still hadn't got a wheel for it and were going to repair it instead.
Originally I would have been happy with a repair I suppose, but having waited for so long for a wheel which has never actually arrived I'm now a bit miffed with them, but not quite sure how to make them replace it, if that's what LR said they should do?

Am I missing something here Question Land Rover have already said that they can't repair it and it has to be replaced. It's not your problem if the dealer can't get a wheel, insist on all 5 being replaced under warranty if they can't match the originals.

Have you taken it to an independant tyre fitter to inspect the inside of the wheel. Can you provide photos of the wheel Question ______________________

I should have photographed the wheel before it went in, but I didn't and now have no proof as to where the defect was. It most definitely wasn't from a scuffing done by driving but it's their word against mine now.
It has also come back with a new scratch on the wing, which I hope will Tcut out. It will never be going back to that dealer ever again.
LR Customer Services weren't particularly interested once the Dealer said it was me who had caused the problem and they were only repairing it as a gesture of goodwill which is not the case at all, but as I say above, I have no proof now the wheel has been repaired.
One to put down to experience I suppose . . .

Sorry about the scratch on the wing.
I know it does'nt help you now, but the Service Dept have a standard form showing the plan of a vehicle.
You should go round your car before it's booked in with someone from service noting any visible marks if any and you should ask for a copy.
Any differences upon collection is their responsiblity to correct. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
