I'm in an extended neighbourhood watch scheme where farmers report dodgy activities to each other and to the police. so I get a few of these messages from the local police

Just stick it in the garage when youre not using it, I can never understand folk prepared to pay out 35 grand on a car and leave it in the street all hours.

I've googled the number and it comes up as North Yorks Police North Allerton ! so looks like it's genuine after all |

it came from 'name'@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk its genuine, and scumbags are stealing Land-rovers all over Yorks but mainly defenders due to the unique way that LR make them theft proof nearly every defender owning farmer I know has had atleast one nicked in the last 10 years.

There are similar warnings from Derbyshire police, about Land Rover theft.

A simillar message has been circulated by Staffordshore Police. That has appeared on other Landrover forums.

A similar type of message to this has been issued to the farming community in particular by Cheshire Police.
