I'm stumped ! Anyone got a picture of how the jack and brace fit and secure in place please. Cheers

There is a round polystyrene tray tray that fits in the bottom of the well so the Jack, wheel Brace and Locking Nut Remover all fit into and the spare fits over the top, but AiiEEX idea looks good but the bands will soon break, could try bungee straps |

As I purchased the car second hand, I cannot confirm that this it the true setup. By the looks of it, the jack had never been used though. I took it out last month just to check I can jack the car up okay. I guess the rubber band is there to stop the bar from rattling. I have the full size spare if that makes a difference. |

Our car was second hand too but just the same set up as AiiEEX (The rubber band was still there about 4 weeks ago |

They may have done away with those trays since not supplying any wheel as standard + cut backs. My MY10 came exactly as AiiEEX has shown and once cranked down with the retaining pin, the jack doesn't move about under the spare. trvevd01 Any long bolt matching the thread on the jack plate welded into the spare bay will do, as long as you can source a washer/drilled metal bar large enough to clamp it down. from the look of your photos, you don't have the washer welded to the jack winding handle that the threaded pin locates through! |
