Good call , I'll have to get round to doing something with mine soon if it ever stops raining, would be a good idea to get some first though. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

Only Interior lights. As for "+" and "-" maybe you are right. I'll try. Thank you. |

Tunaz100, I seem to have the same dummy boot light as you. Only collected my 08 gs on Friday, all is fine so far.

Twist that hook thing on the plastic boot lining panel and you can yank it out and have a look, Even my 07 my S has a boot light |

Ok, thanks Junior and chicken george. That sounds hopeful. I will take off the side panel and see if anything wiring-wise is hanging about. |

First chance today to investigate the boot lamp, as recommended by CG and junior. Removed the spare wheel cover and the little "bit box" on the left. Saw a light shining from under the side panel! I removed the lower tailgate trim, so the side panel would swing out a bit. Managed to draw the bulb holder and wiring back up. Snapped the still lit bulb holder back into the lens. Nothing broken, it had just fallen apart. Put a couple of tie wraps on the wire, to stop it falling through the hole should it come apart again. Result! |

is it possible to eliminate the dim glow from the interior LED's whilst driving? other than going back to standard bulbs or turning them to "OFF" and back to "AUTO" every time. I can deal with the afterglow once i've locked the car as I know after a while they eventually go off, but it can be a little distracting whilst driving. Would a higher powered LED solve the problem or am I missing the point (technically)! |

I fitted one of these in the front courtesy lamp and it turns off completely, no dull glow when driving and really bright. Switches off completely when I lock the car.

If you look back in this thread you'll see that I fitted the same LEDs as mcphersonstrut. Just had the car MOT'd and they swapped the LED sidelights I'd fitted for lamps saying that the LEDs were too blue. They certainly don't look blue to me and as yet, I've not attracted the attention of the boys in blue so the LEDs have gone back on the car. |

Guess it's a subjective thing by the MOT tester as around March this year we had the 'relic' ( just for CG ) MOT'd and it got through no worries. |

Just noticed to night that my newly fitted interior LEDS are not shutting down properly and have the dim glow when driving, and the shame when the cars locked. Its only the two Festoon bulbs in the main cabin, the one in the boot shuts off straight away along with the two footwell one's
