Not always is good to use the ditches made by the previous cars, especially in mud...
They could have easilly avoided it by rolling on the grass zone...

And by the way, pretty unusual and clean outfits for an outdoor, off-road expedition...
Not to mention the tires... Laughing Laughing Laughing
I don't see the gloves, ropes, etc... All are watching even with the hands in their pockets...
Or did they used "the force", trying to push with the mind power? Laughing
Oh... Now I see a hand, a la "Darth Vader" on the upper right zone of the picture.... Laughing Laughing

I'm kidding, I hope that you (they) have the sense of humour... Thumbs Up

People are always losing their cars on Brean and Berrow beach. The sand turns to mud as you get lower down the beach. The local recovery service use a nice heavy vehicle with a winch and a long wire when they recover the wreck that's left.
On an aside this is the same area that Top Gear used when the tested the indestructibility of the Toyota pick-up a while back.

I was there in the OTHER Freelander which is in one or two of the other pics. My O/H was in the only FFRR that came. It was a fantastic day, lots of fun and I NEVER got stuck!! Lots of fun playing in the quarry too. I will put up some pics/video when I get a minute.
The Freelander in the photo was ahead of me in the convoy and it got 'stuck' a couple of times. When this happened everyone from the cars behind me would leave their Discos to go and see what was happening. I must have heard "bloody Freelanders" at least 50 times that day as they passed me on the way to have a nose Laughing Rolling with laughter

To be fair, that the Freelander never got stuck. No ropes or winches were used Big Cry just a couple of waffles to reduce the depth of the one hole.

As one of the peeps in the pic, what were we to do - get cold hands?? Ner Ner The arm in the top right of frame was (and probably still is) attached to one of the marshals who was guiding him out after waffle boards were put under the rear wheels. Thud
