I would agree with dunroof that £750 is a bit much for a second hand Beretta, I would either go for a brand new one for another couple of hundred, or pay no more that £500 for a second hand one.

No way is £750 too expensive for a Beretta... Its about 'Model' and 'Condition' you can't make a sweeping statement without model and condition.
As mentioned look on www.guntrader.co.uk and set a budget and condition. You'll see a list e.g. £90 to £850 s/h will give you manufacturers as:
Webley and Scott
Lanber
Bettinsoli
Beretta
Miruko
Lincoln
Beretta
Browning

Research the brand and model and you'll be there.

Best of luck

I shoot and have done for well over 30 years, it's my passion. Very Happy

Tell your brother to contact his local Police Firearms Licencing Department, if
he lives in West Yorkshire, it's at Laburnum Rd in Wakefield and have a chat.

You live in Leeds ?, go round to Swillington Shooting Suppplies, yes at Swillington
and have a look. Lot's of shotguns to look at and you'll get some free advice.
See Vic he's a sound lad. Also York Guns just of the A64.

Around the Leeds area you will have quite a few clay grounds, check on the CPSA
website, go and have a look, have a lesson or two.

Both Maffs and Dunfoof have offered good sound advice. Thumbs Up

CG seem to be getting confused with a SGC & a FAC, both very different.

As for guns, well the sky is the limit and beyond.

I shoot a Beretta DT10 for clays, a beretta 687 Classic EELL for game, a
Bennelli Cordoba semi-auto for duck, pigeons etc and a Sako 243 & 308
for deer/fox etc.

If he needs any more advice and if I can help I will, Just pass on my details.

It was York Guns that was showing what he had on offer and were he saw the Berreta at £750, I think the FIL knows swillington also, and been just up the road from from him, I'm sure he'll pop in and have a chat

Thanks all for the advice Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The only advice I can offer is
A) Don't buy one in a pub & B) Make sure its has no saw marks on the end of the end of the barrels
And legitimate dealers do deliver them in an old pillar case. Laughing

I haven't even looked at that side of it, I now my brother has got the forms

I could always let them get the guns and go with them without all the faffing about of buying a gun and a licence Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

We could russle up a posse to hunt black freelanders, esp those with lots of chrome and body kits. There are a lot in West London driven by poor drug dealers.......The rich dealers have RR Autobiographies..... Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Could do with a gun myself - Foxes seem to be closing in on my urban chickens recently with some in the next garden to us 20 mins ago - hope tonight isn't the night - we have kids staying over so could do without any more commotion! Hopefully my (wifes) terrier will have scared them off - what he lacks in size he makes up for in noise!

In the meantime I've taken a leak around the garden perimeter - apparently foxes don't like this either.

Fingers crossed - they've just started laying against after a 3 month break - typical. There's always a way forward!

2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!!

Hi there I have an over and under Muroko (which is a browning made Japan) if you go to your local nick and get to know your firearms officer they will always know someone who is selling a firearm and probably cabinet and kit too. I picked mine up for less than £250. I think it had just been proof fired. For real fun, and taking out the flying rats or other vermin get yourself a Ruger 22/10 with moderator and proper sights , when I get a flying rat, there is no noise and his mates don't flinch, go on YouTube have a look, great gun for around the farm. WAMMG
