It is just an impression. The horizontal one moves diagonally actually. Adjust it first. The outermost one (near the turn signal) is for horizontal. See below. https://www.freel2.com/gallery/albums/user...stment.pdf |

It is very easy to get the bulbs mounted at an angle if the locating tabs are not ... erm ... located properly

Is there a distance that you need to be from a wall to adjust them correctly?

Is there a distance that you need to be from a wall to adjust them correctly? I had a complete right lamp unit replaced and it now doesn't look to have the cutoff as sharp as the left one. Also, I have a darker spot (area not illuminated correctly on the road) right in the middle of my view while driving at night. Any ideas? BTW I am in the US and LHD Thanks _________________ Cuatro Por Cuatro |

The best method I have found is to park facing a fence or non reflective garage door - about 20 feet is good. You can then make a direct comparison between left & right headlight patterns. If they are different then adjust using the two adjusters described previously, but check the lamps are seating properly first or you will be doing it again in half an hour

Check the bulb is fitted correctly. Sometimes they can be (unknowingly) poorly seated, leading to the symptoms you describe. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Just got back from the LR Dealership. They said they connected the car to some "mirrors" and it has now been adjusted correctly.
