I have a 2008 Freelander2 SE I have just purchased genuine Landrover 2009/2010 updates. I have tried to load but it is not working. The old version will also now not load. Any help/advice will be appreciated.

If by updates you mean new disks. The disks can take quite a while to install, how long are you waiting and what symptoms are you getting when you say "not working"?

Hi Martin Thanks for the quick reply. No I Hve not given it much time,what is happening is the home page appears but will; not respond to the navigation button. Does the ignition have to remain on for the updates.

Members have reported various loading times of new discs, some a few minutes mine have been around 45 minutes, the ignition will need to be left on during this time and if you don't have the engine running you will get the Low Battery message on the radio and it will turn off. I usually go for a drive around while it does it. Yes the navigation screen will keep coming up then going and coming back while it loads and will not respond to touch. Thanks for that,I have tried loading the old discs without success,Has this screwed it up? The new one is in the DVD player now, I dont lose the screen it just is no operational except for settings

Bazza28, mine did this the first time I did an update, I thought thats it iv'e it, but the next day it was fine. Just lock the the Freely up and leave it till tomorrow, I did and it worked the next day, just put the new disc in tomorrow and go for a ride round.  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

As above really. People have reported variable 'update' times. Mine was done immediately, but a friend's took a few hours...

At the risk of sounding a complete numpty, I have a set of new sat nav discs that came with the car, but without instructions. Do you simply load in the CD player in the dash, or is there a sat nav dvd player hidden away somewhere? My Jag had a separate player for the nav system in the boot....

Put new disk in tonight (Thanks Andy) only took 8 minutes to upload new softwear
