Front screen washer pump/fuse? issue

Over the recent cold snap I found out that the front window washer isn't shooting water over the screen, or the headlights. You can't hear the pump whirring either.

The back one is fine. Also, when the front washer button is pressed the wipers don't move (they do when you push the lever down for normal wiper use though).

Any one else had this? Is it likely a fuse problem (due to the related wiper fault), or a pump issue? Typically it had it's first MOT a few days beforehand.

If anyone else was bothered, the problem was the actual button (at the end of the right stalk) that had a broken contact. A £10 replacement stalk from a scrappy, and 5 minutes, and the problem was fixed.
