I've got a Halfords one. It's a universal fit for most cars, but does fit well on the FL2. It carries 3 bikes. The only downside is that you can't open the boot once it's fitted.

But you cannot get under the barrier that prevents commercial trucks getting into at a lot of FE carparks as well! I recently saw an F2 towing one of those small ERDE trailers that Halfrauds sell that had been modified to take a set of crossbars and a bike rack for 4 bikes on it, quite a good way to do it as you don't loose any mpg due to the roofrack and you have a box trailer for storing all the wet cycling gear after a good day on the trails too. And of course you also have a useful trailer for going to the tip and camping to keep all the dirty stuff out of the car or free up interior space to carry more passengers. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet? I have the tilting Thule tow bar bike rack. Unfortunatley, it does not tilt far enough for a FL2 tailgate to open. It is great other than that, especially given that it comes with a light board.

I would still look into the towbar bike racks, there are other brands that may tilt further. |

I finally bought one, but due to practical reasons, I had to go for the one from Eufab http://www.eufab.com/de/site/shop/detail.p...;place=yes

I wish i had seen them before i bought the LR one. Still, opening the tailgate with the rack fitted is not too important to me as our back seats will be down to get all our gear in anyway, but very nice all the same... Out with the old (2007 SE)

Nice one Superkoala. Can it be attached on the detachable LR tow bar? |
