Speed cruise cutting out

Am sure it must be some safety setting that cuts out the speed cruise. Has anyone experiensed it.

Last week I was in one of the big game parks and the durt roads is very sandy at places. I set the speed cruise at 50KM/Hr (Max speed in the park) and it worked well. But in the very thick sand the car was moved from side to side due to the tracks in the sand and the it cut out. After the road condition improved, got back into speed cruise with no problems.

Yes, it's a safety feature. Don't expect that the car appreciates 50kph and then the wheels loosing traction in honesty.

Happens on most cars - if the traction control (or dsc or whatever they call it these days) cuts in whilst on cruise, it will turn the cuise off. Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

I have had it happen when driving in the rain (when one wheel must have aquaplaned for a slit second ) and the cruise switched off. so I slowed down a little ??? Thumbs Up
