Apparently, the launch date in Queensland is the 1st July 2007.

Not a completely reliable source, but this is the firmest date I have heard.

I was advised the official launch will be this upcoming weekend although it's already in some (if not all) dealerships. I test drove one last weekend to ensure I avoid any possible rush this weekend. And also, orders have already been taken. At the Artarmon dealership in Sydney, apparently their first batch of orders which is due to arrive in late August had already been filled. Next batch will come in around mid to late September.

I test drove one too and the Canberra LR dealer let me have a pertol SE over the weekend 6-7 July. Very pleased with the feel of the vehicle - everything I expected.

I have orderd a HSE 3.2 petrol in Sumatra Black, alpaca leather with sunroof. I'm told it will not arrive until the first week of November.

Hello all

I've had my SE TD4 for 3 weeks now and am fairly happy. It is Narvik black with a sunroof. The tow bar and brake controller will be fitted next Thursday along with the rear spoiler.

Thanks for the link to top gear review - its not been covered well here in the motoring mags. the few on-line reviews have been good. Most seem to think is is too expensive. Delivery delay is another common complaint - 3-4 months when you can drive away in a local built Ford, GM or imported dodge 4x4 or Jap one in a few weeks or less.

Still I think I have made the right choice and it seems far more capable then the other I mentioned.
