When to view

It looks like the new Freelander will be on display at the Sydney Motor Show in October and also at the Melbourne Motor Show in February 2007.
From what I can find out so far pricing will be available at the Sydney Show and deliveries should start around the time of the Melbourne Show.

Australia

This sounds about right.

dealers inMelbourne have no idea other than early/mid 2007.

which suits me as current lease expires after that.

new FL HSE sounds the goods.

Michael.

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Sumatra Black

Hi all,

I too am very keen to see the new FL2 and want to order one soon. It looks so good. I got an email on Wednesday from LR OZ indicating that the FL2 would be available here from July 07?

Hope that pricing is known before then so I can choose a model etc. I lease as well, with the current car expiring in June. I have one problem in that my company restricts us from purchasing a model over the luxury car tax threshold. So that will impact on what I can choose from.

Regards,

Paul

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Sumatra Black

Hi all,
Just thought I would tell the Australian audience that Land Rover have finally updated their website with New FL2 data.

While it largely contains Australia specifications, the Australian LR marketing team didn't have to work too long, as all they have done is cut & paste the UK web site and made some minor modifications.

Evidence of this is the "finance" section of the FL2 page has prices quoted in pounds and finance arrangements link back to a dead UK address.

At least they got something new up there - but LR really need to have a look at how they are marketing this product, because I am getting tired of their tardyness in trying to market this product (ie trying to sell FL2 and make money) - if their sales process is sloppy, I am a bit nervous about buying one and possibly experiencing the same sloppyness - or worse - when it comes to service and maintenance issues.

If anyone at LR Australia can comment, it would be greatly appreciated because at the moment, the only thing keeping my order is that it is a nice car, but I am rethinking my $63k spend.

Edit...
Alright - Land Rover have tidied the site up a bit and removed most UK references, if not all. Maybe their marketing department got a kick up the ... for uploading an incompleted site.

agree with that.

In Geelong the buying of a land rover is so different to getting a BMW even though it the same dealer.

IN BM land nothing is an issue.
In LR land hmmmmmmm same as most LR dealers.

Michael.
