I really don't know wht car manufacturers don't buy their systems from TomTom - some have learnt..Nissan, Renault, Alfa (I think).

The TT maps are still inaccurate though!

My TT520 with map subscription tries to send me on a road that is still under construction, believing it to be open .... on a diversion where a road has now reopened.... thinks Katjwik Way, Lowestoft is one way when it went back to 2-way over 4 years ago....

It has also tried sending me off the M-way and back on again .... fortunately I was also following the road signs so ignored the TT.

Know it well...there will always be some map errors...nature of the best..but tomtom doesn't take you off the m25 then back on again at every juntion.

I've previously use the manual map update function on the tomtom and in subsequent official updates that correction then appears.

Feed it back into the system

2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Izmir Blue

Did you ever get to the bottom of the intermittent problem of rebooting? As my Freelander seems to have developed this bug, as you say when you get near the garage it behaves as if nothing is wrong! Mad

I no longer have the Freelander, although I accept it was the best 4 w.d. car I have ever driven. I just could not justify maintaining it in view of the mild winter just experienced. My snowmobile is now a Fiat Sedici, and the tourer a new Hyundai i40. I have to say the in-built sat nav in the Hyundai is superb, far superior to any other fitted unit I have ever had.
