stopped my engine last night and heard a strange noise but just ignored it.
But the same thing happend today it happens after i have shut off the engine and the motor has stopped turning. (see video)
rang landrover as i have a warrenty and they want to see it but cant fit me in untill Tues morning

just want to know if it is ok to leave it untill then and carry on driving i am going to be towing horses this weekend so will be a strain on the engine. and what is it i cant think of anything that should make a noise like that.

It has been raised here before. I think it is the throttle valve resetting itself and clattering away in the process. If so, Land Rover techs should be familiar with this and in the meantime it should not cause any terminal damage to your engine. John

Yeah that's the electronic throttle, mine went to. The nylon gears just destroy them selves! £110 for a new one

Why use nylon gears, it seems pointless as its prone to fail. Maybe new units will be better made with all steel gear.
Good pics landy
