Seeing as you can adjust where the mirrors dip to, try putting the car in reverse and adjust the mirrors to another position, doesn't matter where, then put the car in D or 1st gear, and see if they move back.

If they do, cheer, feel smug, bathe in a warm glow.

They do, because the level they dip to is saved to a memory number Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Is that: defo- liant, defo- liate, defo- rest, defo- rm, defo- rmed, or defo- rmity (please excuse if I missed out any English words), or, are you referring inadequately and inappropriately to a "Defin", as in definitely.

It really is easy to spell and takes only a few seconds longer to type to avoid any misunderstanding.

Defo dippy mirrors on my HSE with mem seats  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

I had to disable this feature as it was causing problems.

I have to back the car onto my drive through an entrance with brick posts. The park sensors do the job OK - but I like to see what I am doing if possible.

Its probably a great feature when parking in a bay or on a kerb side.
