Radio auto turn off

I believe this has been answered before but I can't find it using the search option.

When the engine is not running the radio turns off after a short while. How do you extend this period?

If I'm getting what you are asking correctly, just press the big radio volume/on-off button. We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

It's there for an obvious reason . Flat battery.
You could of course leave the ign on but this would wake up all the ECU's and your battery would soon be flat.
I'm not sure, but normally the timer is inside the head unit; dunno if a dealer could change it.
I'm intrigued why you'd want to leave the radio on for such a long time?
