Like most Freelander 2s, my door mirrors fold when locking / unlocking the doors. Anyone know if this feature can be disabled without taking a trip to the dealer and spending £s.

I was worried about these when I realised they close every time you lock the car.

I must admit I have started to fold the mirrors manually when parking at home or work because in these places i normally lock and unlock the car a few times during the day to get things in and out. The reason for asking is that I'm not sure how reliable the motors will be over time.

you need to also watch for frost as they can freeze up, and when you open the car they try to unfold and put strain on the motors.
