Try inflating to 100 psi and you could break the World Record

Correct tyre pressures depend on the actual tyre fitted and the load being carried (i.e. total weight of vehicle). There will always be an optimum which is the best for fuel consumption / wear rate.

, it's a shame you read of a few that have suffered problems with theirs but I honestly haven't had a glitch worth mentioning. Even the 'low battery' alarm I had sorted at the last service by LR done it's job the other night. Damn thing was beeping away and woke me up at 4 in the morning, previously i'd left the keys in the ignition/dash lit up from 4 in the afternoon 'til midnight.......only realised what i'd done when I tried to find my keys to lock the front door on my way to bed and thought nothing of it Was nigh on dead but a set of jump leads sorted it. Just to point out if you're low batt' alarm goes off you can't stop it until you put the key in the ignition! which in my case meant getting out of bed, I guess it's an early warning system of sorts. |

Tyres are a funny old things. All car tyres are to some degree are pourus and will lose air presure after a while.
