Correct tyre pressures depend on the actual tyre fitted and the load being carried (i.e. total weight of vehicle). There will always be an optimum which is the best for fuel consumption / wear rate.

I used a garage forecourt airline to fill my mates BMX tyre up as a kid, just kept going and going until BOOM ![]() |

Tyres are a funny old things. All car tyres are to some degree are pourus and will lose air presure after a while.
