Full Metal Jacket on ITV4 now..

Sir yes sir!

One of the best films ever.

Although Private Pile looks pretty slim these days.... or am I just getting old and fat?

2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Already have it on DVD, and agree that it is a great movie. The opening bit with the drill sergeant in the day bunk house screaming at everyone is a masterpiece.

That and Apocalypse Now are my fave war movies on Vietnam. Thumbs Up Chris

2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e S Manual Stornoway Grey

Also watched this the other night. The bloke playing the drill sergeant apparently ad-libbed most of his rants in the movie. What a guy! Just looked on Wikipedia and he (R Lee Ermey) is a real ex marine drill instructor who also appeared in Apocalypse Now.

2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e S Manual Stornoway Grey

Frankie's House about Tim Page the war photographer was also a really good series. Worth reading his book Page after Page if you can find a copy - Good account of Vietnam. His photography is fantastic.
