I don't know if this is of any interest but I found the following link Tyre test ratings, which is specifically for, as the American's say, Light Suv's. |

Just updated our canadian listing of approved winter tires plus reviews through Canadian context. Keep in mind that our winters on the 49th parallel are vastly different than the winters up near the 70th parallel. Armchair Commando |

Have just returned from Northern France in my LR2, encountering very heavy snow. My Pirelli Ice and Snow tyres gave fantastic traction; and had it not been for other vehicles dancing around the auto routes then my journey would have been like a summer outing !!

The LR recommended chains for the FL2 are Spyke Spiders and do not require the wheels to be raised, they are just fited over the tyre and the ground level portion just runs on to the tyre automatically as you drive away. What chains do you have? |

I know it is a odd time of year (and its bleedin' 'ot) but this applies to other types of tyres as well.
